Design education and support

With over 20 years experience as a senior lecturer, course leader and tutor Richard is able to offer support, tutorials, lectures and workshops to designers, organisations, clubs and community groups.

Lectures:  One off lectures or a course of lectures can be delivered on many areas of landscape and garden design.  Topics include design process, theory, landscape and garden detailing, children's play, sustainability, specialist and difficult sites, professional practice and contracts, themes and styles. Workshops:  Following a very successful series of national workshops for The Society of Garden Designers, The English gardening School, and many other organisations, half-day, full day, two day or weekly workshops can de delivered on many aspects of garden and landscape design. Designer mentoring and tutorials:  This is especially aimed at new designers and those thinking of making a career from garden and landscape design.  Please get in touch if you feel that you would like some help, support, feedback or advice on your work or career.  We can develop a plan which helps to support you through your early years. This can be done face-to-face or online.  Group sessions can be a very good way of sharing experience and ideas and also saving individual costs.
